Girona get the better of Elche

Girona triumphed over Elche in a win on Sunday, 2x0, on to matchday 29 of the La Liga. In this competition, Míchel's team came from a draw, and Sebastián Beccacece's team came from three defeats.

The first goal of the game was scored by Taty Castellanos, shortly before the interval.

Oriol Romeu netted the last goal after 70 minutes. In stoppage time, Elche saw Ezequiel Ponce leave the game early with a direct red card.

After the result Girona are 9th in the table, with 38 points, while Elche sit 20th place, with 13 points. Next up, Míchel's team will play away against Valladolid, whilst Sebastián Beccacece's team will play at home against Valencia.
