Espanyol enjoy productive visit to Rayo Vallecano

Rayo Vallecano triumphed over Espanyol in a close win on Sunday, 2x3, on matchday 23. In this competition, both teams came from a defeat.

The opening goal was scored by Javi Puado in the 9th minute. After 39 minutes, Raúl de Tomás doubled the lead for Espanyol.

With 48 minutes on the clock, Isi Palazón struck for Rayo Vallecano. Sub Jony Montiel, after 73 minutes, changed the course of the game. After 79 minutes, midfielder fired home Madrid's team second goal, laid on by Luis Advíncula. Álvaro García netted the last goal with 83 minutes on the clock.

After the result Espanyol are 2nd in the table, with 45 points, while Rayo Vallecano sit 5th place, with 40 points. With regard to the next fixture, Madrid's team will host Tenerife. Meanwhile, Barcelona's team visit Lugo.
