Grêmio send Juventude home with tail between their legs

Grêmio beat Juventude in a close win on Sunday, 3x2, on matchweek 27. To this matchday, Vágner Mancini's team came from two defeats, and Marquinhos Santos's team came from a defeat.

After 23 minutes, Douglas Costa opened the scoring for Grêmio, through a header inside the penalty box. In the 25th minute, Vágner Mancini's team increased their lead with a goal from Diego Souza with a left-foot strike inside the box.

In the 56th minute, Mathias Villasanti doubled the lead for Grêmio, through a header. With 59 minutes on the clock, Sorriso fired home for Juventude, with a right-foot strike inside the penalty box. Roberson netted the last goal with 90 minutes already on the clock through a header.

After the result Juventude are 17th in the table, with 28 points, while Grêmio sit 18th place, with 27 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Vágner Mancini's team will play away against Atlético Goianiense. Meanwhile, Marquinhos Santos's team will play at home against Ceará.
