RB Leipzig defeat Borussia Dortmund

RB Leipzig overcame Borussia Dortmund, 1x4, on Saturday, on matchweek 28. In this competition, both teams came from a draw. Konrad Laimer runned the show.

The opening goal was scored by Konrad Laimer after 21 minutes, with a right-foot strike. In the 30th minute, RB Leipzig extended their lead with a goal from midfielder with a left-foot strike from outside the box. It was his 5th goal of the season.

With 58 minutes on the clock, Leipzig's team increased their lead with a goal from Christopher Nkunku with a left-foot shot inside the penalty area. After 74 minutes, Giovanni Reyna came on. In the 84th minute, Donyell Malen fired home for Borussia Dortmund, from a corner, laid on by Emre Can. Dani Olmo netted the last goal after 86 minutes with a right-foot shot from outside the penalty box.

After the result Borussia Dortmund are 2nd in the table, with 57 points, while RB Leipzig sit 4th place, with 48 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Leipzig's team will play at home against TSG Hoffenheim, whilst Dortmund's team will play away against Stuttgart.
