Metz lose out to Bordeaux

Bordeaux triumphed over Metz in a win on Sunday, 3x1, relating to matchweek 31 of the Ligue 1. Coming into the contest, David Guion's team came from a draw, and Frédéric Antonetti's team came from two defeats.

After 21 minutes, Didier Lamkel Zé opened the scoring for Metz, through a header, after an assist provided by Nicolas de Préville.

With 52 minutes on the clock, Ricardo Mangas fired home for Bordeaux, with a left-foot shot inside the penalty area. In the 68th minute, M’Baye Niang struck the second goal for David Guion's team, with a right-foot strike inside the penalty box, with Gideon Mensah making the assist. In the final minutes of the game, Hwang Ui-jo wrapped things up, from a corner, assisted by Yacine Adli.

After the result Bordeaux are 19th in the table, with 26 points, while Metz sit 20th place, with 23 points. In the next fixture, David Guion's team will play away against Lyon. Meanwhile, Frédéric Antonetti's team will play at home against Clermont.
