Scotland get the better of Rep. of Ireland

Scotland triumphed over Rep. of Ireland, 2x1, on Saturday, on matchweek 5. To this matchweek, Steve Clarke's team came from two wins, and Stephen Kenny's team came from a draw.

The first goal of the game was scored by John Egan, from a corner, in the 18th minute.

After 50 minutes, Jack Hendry struck for Scotland, through a header, after a pass from Ryan Christie. Forward scored the winner with 81 minutes on the clock from the penalty spot.

After the result Scotland are 1st in the table, with 13 points, while Rep. of Ireland sit 3rd place, with 7 points. Next up, Scotland's national team visit Ukraine, while Rep. of Ireland's national team will play at home against Armenia.
