Iran defeat Wales

Iran beat Wales in a win on Friday, 0x2, in a match relating to the Grp.B of the World Cup. Both Wales's national team and Carlos Queiroz's team held their first game in the competition.

The first-half ended without any goals.

In the closing stages of the game, Wales saw Wayne Hennessey get a straight red card The opening goal was scored by Roozbeh Cheshmi deep into added time, with a right-foot shot from outside the box. Ramin Rezaeian netted the last goal in time added on with a right-foot strike inside the penalty box.

In the next fixture, Iran will play against United States of America, whilst Wales will play against England.
