Athletic move on to the next round of Copa del Rey

Athletic triumphed over Valencia, 1x3, on Thursday, in a match relating to the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey.

In the 35th minute, Iker Muniain opened the scoring for Athletic. In an unfortunate moment Óscar de Marcos scored an own goal shortly before the interval. After 45 minutes, Nico Williams struck the second goal for Ernesto Valverde's team.

With 74 minutes on the clock, Mikel Vesga scored the last goal of the match, from the penalty spot.

Thanks to this result, Athletic are through to the next round of the competition.
