Anderlecht defeat Ludogorets Razgrad after a penalty shootout

Anderlecht edged out Ludogorets Razgrad, 2x1, on Thursday, in a match relating of the Europa Conference League. Ante Šimundža's team beat Brian Riemer's team, 1x0, in the first leg of the tie.

In a very unlucky moment, Franco Russo scored an own-goal with 13 minutes on the clock.

In the 68th minute, Yari Verschaeren scored the second goal for Anderlecht. Igor Thiago netted the last goal after 71 minutes.

With 97 minutes on the clock, Ludogorets Razgrad saw Jakub Piotrowski get sent off due to accumulation of yellows.

Thanks to this result, Anderlecht are through to the next round of the competition.
