AZ Alkmaar defeat Anderlecht on penalties

AZ Alkmaar edged out Anderlecht in a win on Thursday, 2x0, in a match relating to the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League. Brian Riemer's team beat Pascal Jansen's team, 2x0, in the first leg of the tie. Vangelis Pavlidis was on fire.

The first goal of the game was scored by Vangelis Pavlidis, from the penalty spot, in the 5th minute. Forward netted the last goal in the 13th minute.

Thanks to this result, AZ Alkmaar are through to the next round of the competition.
