Monaco beat Brest

Monaco defeated Brest, 4x2, on Saturday, in a game relating to mathweek 37. Before this matchday, Philippe Clément's team came from six wins, and Michel Der Zakarian's team came from a defeat. Ben Yedder runned the show.

The opening goal was scored by Jean-Kévin Duverne after 10 minutes. With 23 minutes on the clock, Brest increased their lead with a goal from Youcef Belaili. It was his 5th goal of the season.  in the 44th minute, Ben Yedder fired home for Monaco, from the penalty spot.

Philippe Clément's team scored their second goal of the game through forward, after 51 minutes, laid on by Kevin Volland.  Ben Yedder completed the hat-trick, laid on by Aurélien Tchouameni, with 54 minutes on the clock. Kevin Volland netted the last goal after 70 minutes. With this goal, Kevin Volland reached the landmark of fifteen goals this season.

After the result Monaco are 2nd in the table, with 68 points, while Brest sit 11th place, with 48 points. Next up, Philippe Clément's team visit Lens. Meanwhile, Michel Der Zakarian's team will host Bordeaux.
