Mallorca emerge victorious against Valencia

Mallorca triumphed over Valencia in a close win on Saturday, 1x2, on to matchday 11 of the La Liga. Coming into the contest, Gennaro Gattuso's team came from two draws, and Javier Aguirre's team came from two defeats.

In the 66th minute, Vedat Muriqi fired home for Mallorca, from the penalty spot. Lee Kang-in scored the winner after 83 minutes with a left-foot strike inside the penalty box.

After the result Valencia are 10th in the table, with 15 points, while Mallorca sit 12th place, with 12 points. In the next fixture, Javier Aguirre's team will host Espanyol, while Gennaro Gattuso's team will play at home against Barcelona.
