Avispa Fukuoka edged out Shimizu S-Pulse in a close win on Saturday, 3x2, on matchday 30. Coming into the contest, Shigetoshi Hasebe's team came from three defeats, and Zé Ricardo's team came from a draw. Yuya Yamagishi made a tremendous game.
The opening goal was scored by Reon Yamahara after 29 minutes. In the 36th minute, Shun Nakamura fired home for Avispa Fukuoka. Fukuoka's team scored their second goal of the game through Yuya Yamagishi, with 42 minutes on the clock, laid on by Takaaki Shichi. With his 10th goal of the season.
After 49 minutes, Shigetoshi Hasebe's team extended their lead with a goal from Yuya Yamagishi. After 60 minutes, Thiago Santana netted the final goal of the game, from the penalty spot.
After the result Shimizu S-Pulse are 12th in the table, with 32 points, while Avispa Fukuoka sit 14th place, with 31 points. In their next fixture, Fukuoka's team will host Vissel Kobe. Meanwhile, Shimizu-Ku, Shizuoka's team will play at home against Júbilo Iwata.
