Manchester United defeated Blackburn Rovers in a fantastic win on Saturday, 2x5, on to matchday 6 of the U23 Premier League. In this competition, Mike Sheron's team came from two defeats, and Travis Binnion's team came from a defeat.
In a very unlucky moment, Patrick Gamble scored an own-goal with 11 minutes on the clock. After 36 minutes, Brandon Powell struck for Blackburn Rovers. Manchester United scored their second goal of the game through Shola Shoretire, in the 38th minute. Shortly before the interval, Tom Atcheson scored the second goal for Mike Sheron's team.
After 68 minutes, Daniel Gore fired home for Travis Binnion's team. In the 75th minute, Manchester United increased their lead with a goal from Omari Forson. With 79 minutes on the clock, Joe Hugill wrapped things up, from the penalty spot.
After the result Manchester United are 14th in the table, with 7 points, while Blackburn Rovers sit 23rd place, with 4 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Travis Binnion's team will play away against Fulham. Meanwhile, Mike Sheron's team visit Reading.
