Vasco edged out América Mineiro in a close win on Sunday, 2x1, on matchday 34. To this matchweek, Ramón Díaz's team came from two wins, and Fabián Bustos's team came from a defeat.
The first goal was scored by Pablo Vegetti early in the game, with a right-foot strike. With 13 minutes on the clock, Gonzalo Mastriani fired home for América Mineiro, through a header inside the penalty area.
Dimitri Payet netted the last goal with 90 minutes already on the clock from a direct free kick.
