Christian Cueva scored the winning goal in the 65th minute from a direct free kick. After 69 minutes, Darwin Machís advanced to the penalty, but Pedro Gallese defended. In the 77th minute, Marcos López came on.
After the result Peru are 5th in the table, with 17 points, while Venezuela sit 10th place, with 7 points. In the next fixture, Peru's national team visit Colombia, whilst Venezuela's national team will play at home against Bolivia.
